Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and has been a part of SSC's Board of Directors since the year 2011 She was one of the co-artistic directors of Speech of Fire. As the artistic director of SSC, she was SSC's composer, musician and text director as well as the costume, set and music design. Although she was usually the leader of her ensembles the first time she was directing was as part of SSC King Lear.
